It can be quite easy to hammer rear pads. Overheat the fronts enough that they fade and all of a sudden the rears are doing a lot more work. I've trashed a set of rear pads in less than 40 minutes driving doing that, albeit on a trackdayThey completely overheated before they'd had a chance to gas off and literally just turned to dust.

Yeah, to be honest, it's never done a track day in its life, and probably isn't going to stat now!
One of these days, if I can be fagged, I ought to try another set of pads in it from a different manufacturer, to see if they make any difference, but of course, I'd have to wait for them to bed in properly too, I guess.
