Brass compression fittings onto steel pipe. District heating

Will brass compression fitting (olive and nut) go onto existing steel pipework (35mm) . Wanting to create a branch for supply to a flat heating circuit.
I have used press fit before but there are only four join points to give a branch of 28mm copper F&R.

nope and if it really is a district heating system you shouldnt be touching it, they can work at really high pressures

Believe it or not this system isn't pressurised or sealed!
The pipework hasn't been fully inspected (due to insulation) and could be copper pipe. I have built large diameter pipework before with geberit pipe.
