I am after some replacement Brass Picture lights, the ones which take two 40w BC candle lamps.

This is the type I want for a restaurant and pub that has hundreds of these, and as such, loads of spare lamps. They do not want other lamp types.

A struggle to find recently!

Any clues?

TLC have them, but they use PL LE lamps.

You might find the old type are no longer made in the LE world.

If they have 100's then sooner or later they will have to change to LE, why not offer them a quote to swop out all of them ?

80w old v 11w new = 69w saved x 100's x 10 hours a day (dim natural lighting in pubs) and you could offer a 2 year cost pay back :D

Tried that approach already.

They get their BC candles from a company who have supplied the exact "hue" they want, and they have thousands of spare lamps in their store. There is no way they are going to change just yet.

This is only to replace a couple damaged by the staff taking the Xmas decor down! Not even the rowdy customers - the DAFT staff!

How desperate are you?

I'm passing the ring factory shop at the end of the week, and cap pop in and see if they are selling any end of line ones off in there if you like.

How many might you be after?

That's about the best place I know for stuff like that.

R80 brass eyeball downlights anyone?

Oh, just a thought. When I was pubfitting, we used to get a fair bit of our lighting from Andy Thorntons.

Beware though, they can be a little on the pricey side...
