Hi I have a new water pipe and I noticed the brass stop tap didn't fit well on it. Any ideas why? I used a JS liner also.

what stop tap was it? assuming by brass it was a compression? best to use a copper insert, tighten up, remove and ptfe the olive a few wraps and refit.
Yes it's brass. By copper insert do you mean a copper liner? . Also I was thinking of getting a plasson stop tap anyway?
