Break pad sensor lead

I received break pads I ordered with package open and I see there is gap at the end of cover of the lead.
Is this OK?

Yes, they're all like that.
I put some grease there as a matter of habit I picked watching my mechanic neighbour, but I am sure it doesn't need it.

If you still have doubts, check the continuity between the two terminals - it should show close to zero Ohms.

Those wires have a heat resisting sheath - completely normal.
