breaking capacity

just trying to fill in a test cert for the first time and need to know the breaking capacity for a main cut out fuse which is a 80 A b.s 1361 . can anybody help please

33kA is for type II (415V) but type I (240V) is as you said originally 16.5kA. Type II is used in service cut outs.

Type I domestic consumer unit fuselinks. Tested to BS 1361 (or BS 88: Part 1 for non-standard ratings) for a breaking capacity of 16.5kA at 240V AC.
For use in domestic and commercial installations mainly for lighting and heating circuits.

Type IIa (R) and IIb (RL) house service cut-out fuselinks. ASTA 20 Certified or tested to BS 1361 for a breaking capacity of 33kA at 415V AC.
For use in domestic and commercial installations mainly in supply authorities cut-outs.
