Hi - I live in a 1900ish house without felt under the tiles and I'm thinking of lining the inside of the loft with something like one of these -

I'm doing it to keep the dirt and draughts down but was wondering if, as long as it's breathable, will I cause any problems by attaching something like this to the rafters rather than directly under the tiles, which would mean an expensive re-roof?! I'd be hiding any evidence of leaks but at the moment the tiles are generally in not bad condition with no obvious leaks.
The loft is also open to the neighbours on both sides so I was going to make a screen of this material to box the space in a bit.
Anyway - what do people think?!
Cheers
