I've some solid bricks from an old garage that I wanted to use in another garden building.

I wanted to use some of them in the floor but how should I clean them?

Do I do it once they're down or do I have to do it before I lay them?

The photo gives you an idea of them although the rest still have little bits of mortar on them so they might need more attention.

What products are best?

Any lumps of mortar need to be chipped off. Then you can use mortar acid to remove the smears of cement.

Clean any lumps off now, do the acid washing after laying them.
