Brick slip flooring?

Hi all, has anyone got any experience laying brick slips as flooring?

I have a period house and am looking to recreate the 'original' flooring that would have existed in the late 1800's. I'm hoping it will end up looking something like this... http://goo.gl/RSsaQR
