As part of our slow but steady house renovation, we plan to move the back boor. The current one will be removed and bricked up and about 12 months later, a new one will be installed in a different position.

We know it's going to be inconvenient but we have a side path so can live with it for a short period but would we be breaching any health and safety regulations in the meantime? The only other exit to the property will be the front door but there are several other escape windows on the ground floor.

Thanks in advance.

There are no H&S regulations which apply to your domestic use of the property
