The house I've just bought has a nice 1930's heavy front door. In general it is in good condition however it is slightly warped at the bottom and it has several layers of varnish on it that have made it a lot darker than it originally was and in general slightly grubby.
My questions are:
1) The best way of removing the varnish and bringing the original lighter wood back to life.
2) How to deal with the warping, is there a way of correcting the door or should I adjust the door frame at the bottom.
3) How to clean up the stained glass window in the top of the door. It is in good condition just a little grubby.
4) The door appears to be made in several parts and at the joints there is the odd small gap, 1-2mm. How to deal with these.
Basically looking to bringing a nice door back to life.
Cheers
