british gas c1 combi prob

my boiler keeps going to 3.5 bar when i run the heating and even when its been off all night the pressure is still reading 3 bar plus ,the filling loop is not connected does anyone know why this is happening thanks

Plate heat exchanger is passing internally. I think this boiler is a rebranded WB Cdi in which case I've changed a couple for the same reason.

Pretty sure the C1 is a re-branded WB 25Si, in which case it's a twin pass H/E that's needed, could be pricey but easy to replace.
