British man sacked for criticising Trump

So anything any US politician has said. in any of their past history is sufficient judgement of their character?
"Grab 'em by the pu55y".
He has said he would force the military to commit crimes.
He praises the legacy of Saddam and Gaddafi.
He criticised an American Military family for attending a Democratic convention.
He mimicked a disabled reporter.
He's made plenty of xenophobic and islamophobic comments.

And there's more, much more.
You or the UK don't employ Trump. If you did you could decide to sack him if you thought those were good grounds for dismissal.

Gary was very much in the PR that is the open to being attacked at all times BBC

The detriment was the malice of the US embassy. Its called cancellation culture.
No.

His personal views conflicted with his employer’s business goals.

I wouldn’t dream of sharing my personal views on LinkedIn even despite planning to retire shortly.

It’s not the platform

How silly are the people who claim that people they disagree with have no experience of life at work
Who’d have thought JohnD would twist and turn, to pretend someone said something they didn’t, in order to disagree with it.

Plenty of people are deciding that america is not the place to go whilst the orange rapist is in charge...

"The U.S. has the unfortunate distinction of being the only major tourist destination that saw a decline in visitors in 2025, and it looks like that trend will continue into 2026, according to a new report.

Tourism grew worldwide in 2025, but the U.S. saw a 6 percent drop last year, according to data from the World Travel and Tourism Council.

January's tourism numbers didn't provide a rosy outlook for the rest of the year. Visitors to the States continued to decline, down 4.8 percent from January 2025"

"The World Travel and Tourism Council estimates that the loss to U.S. tourism from changes made during the Trump administration could reach $15.7 billion"

Cornwall tourism was well down last year.

Cornwall tourism was well down last year.
I was there :D

same for the IOW

Isle of Wight (IOW) tourism in 2025 has experienced a mixed, challenging period with a 3.7%–4.6% decline in total visitor numbers compared to 2024

When a university lecturer gets sacked for expressing openly racist views, the right wing are up in arms, crying about cancel culture.

But being sacked for criticising the US President is apparently OK.

As I have posted before, the hypocrisy of the right has always been breath taking. Watching them twist and turn would be hilarious, if it wasn't so sad.

The toxic Trump effect.

Melanoma should find him a warm cosy home somewhere, where he can refrain from killing people and ruining economies.

Most US adults think Donald Trump is moving the country in the wrong direction during his second presidency, according to a new NPR/PBS News/Marist poll released the day before his State of the Union speech. Fifty-five percent of adults feel that Trump is changing the country for the worse, a 13-point increase from around the same time of his first presidency, the survey conducted from 27 to 30 January found.

Trump can hide but he can't run from the falling numbers.
I thought it was 600%?

Assuming you hold a senior position in your company? Would you openly share your lefty, personal views in a linkedin post?

Its obviously a complete no go, and someone who works in PR, is the first person who should know this.

What are you on now?
I was drawing a comparison with Trump's remarks and the remarks of anyone refused a visa on the comments they've made on social media.
