Britony Combi 80 (leaking pressure valve?)

My C&M Britony Combi 80 has developed a leak, on removing the front panel it looks as though the leak is coming from a pressure valve (Brass cylinder with red plastic screw cap, bottom RHS). There is a continious slow seepage from the top of this unit, looks as though it has been leaking fo some time. The Combi is operating in hot water mode only at the moment and the pressure gauge is within limits normally maintained 0-0.7 bar.

Assuming this is a over pressure valve, it is designed to leak but under what circumstances? Is this a common fault, does it need servicing or if the valve itself is faulty can I replace the unit?

Any and all advice welcome.
