phoenix company aren’t helping - the bath is only 8y old. Can anyone suggest where i can get an old “new” one or what to do. I can’t replace the whole lot as I have a corner bath that was difficult to fit and plumber said if anything ever needs replacing he’s not sure how he’ll ever pull the bath out.

Has the click clack plug snapped off? If it has you may find that the click clack mechanism might screw out of the waste, if so then you may be able to replace it with one the same same thread size.

That being said it doesn't look the correct shape at the top to be removable.

There is no ‘panel’ unfortunately, it’s all one piece. Whoever designed this I don’t know. I’d never get a bath like this again but here I am.

I can remove the actual plug but I just can’t get a replacement as the company have changed their supplier. The problem with the current plug is the middle thread built has bent ( assume one of my teenage sons had trodden on it and it’s bent at an odd angle so no longer fits to plug the bath. Bathroom shop has suggested I just try out a few of their wastes in the shop in the vague hope it fits mine, but unlikely as it would have to screw in and push down to the right height etc

Well unfortunately that wouldn't have been the type of bath I would have fitted for an integrated shower. That really is trying to fit a square peg into a round hole. As you say though, it's what it is. Can you get a hold of that centre section of the plug mechanism with a pair of pliers, grips and unscrew that piece out of the waste?

If not then there is only one way to fix that I'm afraid, the bath needs to come out. Now it shouldn't be impossible and as long as they fitted the feeds to the taps on long flexible pipework and the trap on a flexi waste too (some of these baths come with it already) then it will come out but it is going to be a fair bit of work. The alternative is finding a normal drop/push in plug that will fit into the waste.

Can't really see what's wrong, tbh. I'm pretty sure I would bend it so it fitted again. Was there a central rod you aren't showing us? If not, what lifts it?
"the middle thread built has bent" ??? I see no thread.

I carried on using it slightly bent and now the top bit has actually cracked
