But by bit I'm trying to become more familiar with my house and its build especially in relation to insulation, heat retention etc.
The house is built with cavity blocks, plastered on the outside, and on the inside some timber nailed to those and then insulation-backed plasterboard nailed to those timbers. What kind of build is that? Internal walls all timber studs with plasterboard. Built in 2007.
I attach a photo of behind my false chimney breast looking upwards to give an idea. For the other walls this cavity is narrower but I can get a camera into this one.
