I'm building a small brick wall as an edge to a new path in the garden - nothing fancy, just a single skin straight line - probably 8 courses or 15 bricks.

I need to top it with something. I don't want to use overhanging tiles. Other walls at the front of the house use a row of half bricks on end, but this looks like an unnecessary faff.

The wall is built using Buildbase soft reds, because they match the windowsills on the house. These have a frog. Buildbase also have some grey bricks without a frog. Can I just use these, or should I not leave the top of the brick exposed. They look pretty hard.
