Building a porch

Already have a covered area outside front door, but could do with a closed porch.
Would this be easiest with wooden frame, insulation and wooden cladding or block built?
Are there any self build sites which could help - I am on a budget

A block or brick porch might be difficult for a carpenter, and vice-versa.

Normally, people want something to match in with the house and choose on that basis. Lots of videos on Youtube.
