I'm building an extension, external drains viewed and filled, the shell is now up and the BCO has said their next visit will be pre occupation when they will test all plumbing.

I thought they needed to see all internal waste runs before they're boxed in?

Also, are they really going to pressure test the drainage before occupation? There are lots of items to remove like sinks, toilets, baths etc to seal it all up and seems an odd stage to do so!

LABC very often ask for an air test on all internal soil & waste systems with everything connected. The test & duration will depend on your local BCO. Just ensure you've got a good well qualified Plumber on the job, as it sounds like you BCO is a bit of a Hitler!!
