Hi,

I understand if some building works don't have a completion certificate you can approach building control for "regularisation" which will confirm that the building works comply to the regulations at the time.

I was wondering if minor alterations are permitted to make it compliant with the previous regulations, or if at that point it would be come a "new" application?

Thanks

Regularisation does confirm that works are compliant, rather it's a process of checking that the works are compliant and if not, directing what works are needed to acheive compliance, and certifying the work once done.
