Building sand or sharp sand

I've got to build a small wall and I have half a ton of screed/sharp sand left from building an extension. Can the screed/sharp sand be used to build the wall or do I need building sand?

ou can use the sharp sand. It ain't the best, but it will result in a very strong wall.

.... and dirty boots and floor as most of it slides off the trowel

Not forgetting trying to point it up!
