Hi

I have chopped an old pipe out of the kitchen floor and want to sreen it.

I have a bag of wicks sharp sand and Master original cement.

On the bag of wicks sharp sand it says the mix is 8 bags of sharp sand to one 50kg bag of cement.

The problem is I only want enough to screed a small area in the kitchen not the whole house.

What mix should I be using ?
4 sand to 1 cement
5 sand to 1 cement

It is being layed over concrete and brick and I have damp proofed the small area just incase.

8 bags to 50kg equates to 4 to 1 as bags are 25kg.
Make sure you use water sparingly just enough for the mix to bind, not wet or runny.

mix it 3 sand to 1 cement. as said previously add enough water so that when squeezed in your hand, the mix just holds together.
