Building up an area 400(h) x 800(d) x 2m for patio

as above, I’m looking to extend an area 0.8m x 2m when I replace my old patio. It’s 40cm deep and will be behind a retaining wall.

I’m guessing I don’t do the whole 40cm/10” depth with type 1 in 75mm levels, so hows best to fill this space please?
