I have just put some new bulbs in a cooker extractor hood and one of them blew within a day. I have just moved into the house and the lights on the hood were not working so changed the bulbs. What could be the problem if one of the bulbs are blowing and no the other one.

Vibration maybe? Are the mountings for the lampholder sound? Do they have rubber mountings that have perished?

I think the cooker is wired separatley but the oven was playing up when both bulbs were working its ok with one bulb. could it have something to do with the wiring in the kitchen.
