Hi,

I bought Ikea lamps but I wanted energy savings bulbs. The issue is that they are bigger than the lamp cover (in white) so it's annoying.
I didn't find any energy savings bulbs that fit in these lamps and have the required power.

What could I attach to the lamp's cover to hide the bulb?

thnx

I can't really think of anything to fit to the cover to extend it or hide the bulb but have you looked at LED's ? There are some quite compact bulbs available and frankly they are better than CFL' s , more efficient , longer lasting , and a whiter light too.

You can't have cfl and high light output.
The shortest tend to be the golf ball type.
Or as mentioned golf ball led .

Thanks a lot guys.

I tried, but I couldn't find any bright enough LEDs on a E14 format (of at least 510lm).

Thanks a lot for your link.

I meant an LED of at least 510lm but that is short enough not to be longer than the lamp shade, as this is my main issue.

This one is 2cm longer than the one I already have, shown in the picture.

The bulb I have is 8.9cm long and I would need a 7cm long one, but I don't think it does exist in the capacity I want.

It's just that the shade of these Ikea lamps are too short...
