Guys
I've been through numerous strings on the forum and are as confused as ever as to whether wireless alarms as good as wired.
I don't normally do it and I don't want this to be a long laborious string but I have been asked to fit an alarm and want to give the best advice.

Succinct justified replies would be helpful.

Thanks

Imho, hard wired wins hands down with me.
Wireless alarms in my past experience (although a long time ago now) were painful to faultfind. You also needed to keep up with sensor battery changes to keep them working. Don't know much about jamming the signals, could be possible though I think this triggered the alarm? One plus side I can think of is is not having wires run to all the sensors, reduced install time and cosmetic.

Have a wireless which is working fine. System notifies of battery life, installation as simple as can be, jamming sets of alarm (although I have never experienced this yet), clean and simple (no wires showing) and test trips show system to be fully functional.

there's that many wireless devices around these days, i wouldn't trust radio signals to protect my home.
