#1 we need growth, we need investment
#2 considering our welfare aims, our taxes are lowish.
#3 he should put frigates in the way of migrant boats crossing the channel. Stop them half way and call the French lifeboat services. The crims would go out of business while the French moaned, and we remind them they could have used a Stanley knife on the beach which would have been much safer, and we're paying enough to supply them.

Why would he do that? They're all full of future benefit claimants, the only people who still vote labour.

Do people still actually believe that they want to stop the boats? The Smash The Gangs stuff is all lies, they never had any intention of stopping anything.

No but I've prodded around for what he's said, and that doesn't seem to amount to much. Very much a lightweight, so far.
I think he should admit the manifesto doesn't work, shift it to what he wants do some quick reassessments and make them clear, and go for another GE.

I'd prefer to look at other bits of the world, where things like

• the health service is much better, or the
  planning for the future is much better, or the
  welfare system works a lot better, or the
  energy costs a lot less, or the
  incentives for investment are better.....
