Has anyone got any information on commercial busbar systems
I have one bank of lights out in a warehouse.
all the lighting is connected to a busbar with tap off points feeding the lighting via plug in celing roses
Only one bank of lights are out so the busbar is live
All the faulty ones are going back to one tap off point
The original fault was caused by a short in a stray cable at the end of the run
So my question is are the tap of points fused ?
If not has anyone got any sujestons ?
Many thanks

They should be, but in reality not always done. You really need to do a continuity check on the cable.

As far as I M aware, I have come across some busbar trunking before where there is a fused link inside where the tap off is, so yes that would be my guess as to your problem.
Regards Chris

Almost all tap off points are fused as otherwise the cable from the tap off would have to be able to safely carry current to the limit of the fuse supplying the bus bar.
