so a lady at work has a new flat and a guest broke her loo seat.
She's sent me a picture and i will pop over to see if I can fix it.
She seems to think it should push together?
I have some G clamps plus more modern squeeze types if that helps

Any idea if this thing just pops in?

Mounts loose, should push together and tighten mounts from below assuming not concealed.

Without looking in person, you're probably right. She said she tried to push it but couldn't.
It may need undoing a bit before reassembly then tightening?
Looking at the flat, it's a cheap 80's box so doubt there's anything too flash installed

Yes, loosen from below before pushing back.
