Hi,
I’ve just laid the first width of tanking membrane, and annoyingly there are a few air bubbles in the middle of the sheet. The biggest is probably 3cmx2cm and a few mm high.
is there a way to resolve this?
Is the butyl rubber back ‘liquid’ enough to seal its self if I put a pin prick in to let the air out or am I asking for trouble?
It’s over a grp shower former.
Thanks
James

I shouldn't worry too much about it. When you tile there'll be a compressed bed of around 4-5mm of adhesive anyway. But if you think the bubble is too high then release the air and squash the nick back together. The butyl rubber back is mega sticky and will re-seal. Good luck.
