any ideas? my local motor factors quoted me £100. I can get a 'suitable' battery off the 'net for £60...

Any suggestions?

If they are both the same Ampere Hour and Cold Start capacity, then usually all you are paying for at the dearer price will be extended warranty? Keep in mind you will have to send it back if faulty, when purchased over the net.

Last new car battery I purchased was on-line and have had no problems at all with it. (Hope I haven't spoken too soon!!)

Yes if it goes wrong there is some inconvenience but it is really a case of you pays your money and takes your chance.

Does saving £40 make the risk worthwhile. Your choice unfortunately.

A few online sellers publish the weight of their batteries, so as generally the heavier the battery the better go for the one that gives you most lbs for the £.

as long as its a decent brand like bosch then go for the cheaper one, just make sure the power and dimensions are the same.

Try another motor factor. If it's for your A4, you should be able to get a decent brand battery for £60. Audi batteries are a common format so they are cheap enough.
