come on what has he said that is offensive to Jewish people?
He shared a post comparing them to rats. Even the BBC had to accept his position at the BBC was untenable, hence his sacking.

Zionism, yes.He shared a post comparing them to rats.
Zionism, yes.
That's an unfair comparison, rats don't murder people. He shared a post comparing them to rats. Even the BBC had to accept his position at the BBC was untenable, hence his sacking.
I watched it a couple of weeks back. Whilst appreciating the situations are completely different, what I couldn't quite get my head around was this. There appeared to be Jewish people that were almost taking pleasure in their goal to gradually reclaim the area whether by legal means or otherwise, purging Palestinians from the area. There was an old Rabbi (I thought these people were supposed to be caring?) taking great pleasure in taking about 'getting the camel people out of the area.'Just watched Louis Theroux's bbc documentary about settlers in the conflict zone with Palestine and Israel, looks very toxic for both sides!
Boohoo. There you go, will that do ya? Better than those crocodile tears you shed for the unarmed civilian victims of the October 7th attack. In fact, any chance you can show us your sympathetic posts on that day? The day after?Motties has never ever noted any sympathy for the thousands of Palestinians that have died in Gaza.........

But you said all was fair in love and war?Boohoo. There you go, will that do ya? Better than those crocodile tears you shed for the unarmed civilian victims of the October 7th attack. In fact, any chance you can show us your sympathetic posts on that day? The day after?
True. That’s just to shut Notch up. He can stop asking now.But you said all was fair in love and war?
Gary Lineker stands for decency.
Its no wonder theres a pile on of right wing tozzers on this thread hating him...........they hate decency and morals.

Mbk misinterprets the ruling, again:Lineker, accepted the material was racial / religious hate promoting, something that is illegal in the UK. Hopefully those on this forum wont need reminding. No amount of pretending that Zionism is a political ideology will protect them as I am sure Lineker was told.
Employment Tribunal rules that anti-Zionist beliefs are protected under Equality Act
All over the world, it is an alarming time to be Jewish – but conflating anti-Zionism with Jew-hatred is a tragic mistake.

Employment Tribunal rules that anti-Zionist beliefs are protected under Equality Act
Being anti-Zionist qualifies as a philosophical belief and a protected characteristic under section 10 of the Equality Act, an employment tribunal has found. It was ruled in February that Professor David Miller was unfairly discriminated against when he was dismissed by the University of Bristwww.scottishlegal.com
If anti-Zionism is protected, then Zionism cannot be protected as a characteristic.

Debunking the myth that anti-Zionism is antisemitic | Peter Beinart
The long read: All over the world, it is an alarming time to be Jewish – but conflating anti-Zionism with Jew-hatred is a tragic mistakewww.theguardian.com
AntiZionism is antiSemitic according to Jews. Anti Israel is antiSemitic according to Jews.
But that is like arguing that any criticism of Hamas is islamophobic, and includes all Arabs, or all Muslims.
It is acceptable to criticise Israel, and to criticise the Zionist belief.
Only being Jewish is a protected characteristic.
That wasn't mbk's argument. He didn't breach the law by criticising jews/zionists, he fell foul by reposting an image comparing them to rats.
It's why he got the sack.
It's why no amount of bleating on your part will see him reinstated.
He's gone.

I support Lineker's stand. Sometimes financial interest is trumped by moral principles.
