Bye Bye Gary

More of a comment towards the ridiculous stance you and 'biking do in conflating Judaism and Zionism.

Lineker was forced to quit or sacked from the BBC .

Why?

Because his comments were considered anti semitic.

nothing to conflate as far as I'm concerned. It's you, Fenso and Tom who are doing the conflating, in a pathetic and futile attemp at concealingling or justifying your own prejudices.

It is both, it's an ethno/religious nationalist ideology, a bit like zionism based on a mythological past.
Nah, the plantations were a move by tne british to give tne best land to the protestant incomers, and reduce tne indigenous populations influence. Home rule was a cross religious aim, until tne british saw it as another to divide and rule.

I am prejudiced against Israel and the IDF for what they are doing in Gaza. I hate them for it. I don't know what you think I'm concealing.

he deleted the post immediately and apologised unreservedly, whilst accepting he could never work at the BBC ever again.
He also said he felt that he had to speak out against the genocide in Gaza. Fair play to the lad sacrificing his career for what he believes in.

He retweeted a post with an offensive logo. He was unaware of the connection.

None of which were used in the context Lineker did.
Not to Jews or Zionists, but other groups of people.
Before you say 'I told you so', check out my original post where I distinctly talked about the symbol of rats being used as imagery for other groups of people.
Zionism is a political movement. It's not antisemitic. It's not racist to criticise a political party or movement.
If you argue that it is racist to use an image of a rat relevant to Zionists, then it's also racist to use such an image with other politically (or economically) motivated groups of people.
Therefore there will be many on here that you are, by extrapolation and unfairly, calling racist.

We're getting there. (y)
“I don’t really care about the backlash. I care about doing the right thing, or what I think is the right thing. Some people can disagree, that’s fine. But I have to look at myself in the mirror. I think if you’re silent on these issues, you’re almost complicit.”

So according to mbk and fillyboy, it's racist to criticise or associate an image of a rat with Sinn Fein, or by extrapolation, with DUP.

They're bonkers.

So are you if you think a united or divided Ireland was always part of the UK.

After critics accused the BBC football presenter of promoting antisemitic imagery, Lineker insisted he hadn't noticed the rat, was unaware of its use in anti-Jewish propaganda and would "never knowingly share anything antisemitic".

Why are rats an antisemitic symbol?
Jews were frequently represented as a pestilent species like rats or cockroaches in Germany as the Nazi party rose to power. Der Stürmer, a weekly newspaper notorious for its virulent antisemitism, depicted a Nazi gassing Jewish 'rats' huddled around the base of a tree in one cover image from as early as 1927. "When the vermin are dead," the caption said, "the German oak will flourish once more.

other way around.
So now you are claiming that Zionism as a political movement arose from what, Judaism, Jews, Israel?
I've already pointed out that there were numerous Zionists who were not Jews.
Zionism grew from the persecution experienced by Jews throughout Europe and Russia.
But it's not a religion, it's a political movement or party.
Any religion can join the Zionist movement.
One cannot convert to Zionism. One simply starts to support the political ambitions of Zionists.
There is no formal conversion or ceremony involved in becoming a Zionist. Zionism is a political ideology, not a religious one, so it doesn't involve religious rituals or practices. To become a Zionist, one simply needs to support the Zionist movement and its goals, which include the establishment of a Jewish state in the land of Israel and the development of Jewish culture and identity within that state.

Himmy, go to the cupboard where the nurse leaves your special pills and take one to help you shut up.

I'm not going to give you, himmy and Denso another platform to spread your hatred of jews. You can pretend you aren't talking about them as much as you want.
Is it another bail out time? :ROFLMAO:
Don't forget your parachute. :ROFLMAO:
