On successful completion of the above qual are you awarded 1 or 2 certs from City & Guilds? :oops:

1 = Practical component
2 = Written component

or are these combined in 1 certificate from C&G?

letter received from college this morning reads

We are pleased to tell you that your certificate for FCR - C&G - Test and Inspection - Dec 2010 Intake has been received and is now ready for collection

My certificate reads "Level 3 Certificate in inspection, testing and certification of electrical installations" albeit I passed back in July 2007

2391-10 (Inspection, Testing and Certification of Electrical Installations) contains two components:

Technical Knowledge of the Inspection, Testing and Certification of Electrical Installations and Practical Application of the Inspection, Testing and Certification of Electrical Installations.

2391-20 (Design, Erection and Verification of Electrical Installations) contains three components:

Practical Application of the Inspection, Testing and Certification of Electrical Installations; Technical Knowledge of the Design, Erection and Verification of Electrical Installations, and Design Project.

In both cases certificates of unit credit are NOT issued and a certificate will only be issued once ALL components are achieved.

But if you have passed the written exam and failed the practicals, or visa versa. You need only retake the parts you failed.

Indeed. And if you have passed the Practical Application of the Inspection, Testing and Certification of Electrical Installations as part of either the 2391-10 or 2391-20 qualification then you are not required to repeat it for the other 2391 qualification.
