Cable entry through wall sealant came loose, does this need fixed?

Hi all
Just noticed that my broadband cable that comes into the house through am external wall has had its sealant come loose


My questions are as follows,
Is this an issue in terms of damp or rot? I think my house is timber frame with external brick

Is it something that's easily fixed with general silicon sealant?
