Hi

Can anyone tell me what type of cable I need ( 1.5mm2 ) to run across from my house to a shed , the distance from house to shed is just under 9ft .

I thought there is a cable that is sort of reinforced but not SWA , not sure were I heard that from .

cheers

A minimum of 2.5mm2 would give you more scope to put sockets in the shed, in my opinion, for the sake of a few quid.

What do you intend to use in the shed? Just lights? Or sockets as well? Or something else as well?

Other cable types you may be thinking of may include ali-tube (never seen this in real life, no one has heard of it in my wholesalers) and SY cable.

SWA is what you really need, but not all DIYers can fit the glands properly.
