But there's only one real situation where I'd want to take advantage of it. If I wanted a 2.5 circuit on a 25A CPD.
And I never have.

Interesting. Do you have the same approach/attitude to cables of other sizes - i.e. not being comfortable using them up to what you know to be their 'rated CCC'?
