Cadbury’s

Surely it will bring employment though if businesses move here? It’s down to the government to plug the loopholes.

Brexit weakens the UK significantly. It is now not part of an economic superpower.

UK is not attractive to foreign business now because it's huge frictionless market has gone

So to attract new business.....the govt will deregulate.

I'm sorry Mottie, a Brexit govt won't plug the loopholes, it will create new ones.

For the avoidance of doubt
Brexit will mean deregulation and more companies coming here avoiding tax.

Brexit was always a vehicle for Tories and mates to make money.

Of course at the expense of the public.

I thought Cadburys at Bournville continued unabated after the sale.
I'm aware that recipes were changed to be cheaper to manufacture, but I wasn't aware that production had ceased at Bournville.

So Cadbury is owned by Mondelex a USA company.

And what a surprise.....an American company that doesn't pay any UK corporation tax

"Mondelex: was able to pay no UK corporation tax as a result of a Channel Islands-based bond, despite Cadbury making £96.5m profit in 2014"

We shall see more of this kind of stuff given the US lobby groups are heavily targeting this govt.

I wonder who benefits from this deal.

Brexit will see US businesses move here and pay no tax.....good for billionaires bad for the public.

You've certainly got a downer on Cadbury. Don't tell me you're still annoyed about that 'misunderstanding' when you applied for the fudge packers job.

very super.

The European Union's GDP was estimated to be around $15 trillion (nominal) in 2020, representing around 1/6 of the global economy. The euro is the second largest reserve currency and the second most traded currency in the world after the United States dollar.

China's GDP is 14.34 trillion USD (2019)

Russia's GDP is 1.7 trillion USD (2019)

Japan's GDP is 5.082 trillion USD (2019)

UK GDP is 2.829 trillion USD (2019)

Can I just clarify that Cadburys are NOT relocating back to Bournville. They never left. What they are doing is investing in the current site to enable higher production but they do not envisage the extra investment/production to produce any new vacancies. They are also moving some European production to Britain.
