Camray 5 combi oil boiler timer keeps switching off

I have recently moved into a new property with a Camray 5 combi 90/A oil boiler with 7 day programmer fitted to the front. The programmer at intermittent days and times keeps going off. I then have to press the reset button. DO I NEED TO BUY A NEW TIMER OR AM I DOING SOMETHING WRONG.

It's backup battery might be flat, and you get power dropouts. You can test this by switching the boiler power off on the wall and see if the timer goes wrong.

Boulters built in programmers are not very reliable in my own experience.

It will probably be cream crackered!
