My boiler fire's for 5 seconds and then cuts out I have replaced the control box as there was no power to the photo cell
Plenty of oil no air locks etc any ideas???

Changing the photocell would have been cheaper, and probably would have cured the problem. Which model burner do you have?

I have never seen a Cam 5 that did not have a RDB burner.

That spec is an RDB 2. Make sure you get the right spec of photocell. Some suppliers don't realise there is a difference.

Correct me if I'm wrong but.
There was only a long or short version 3008646 or 3007541 at the time. The Nickel cadmium free version (Due to fookin EU bol locks) was much later..2012 ish... As was the Digi boxes needed on Worsers and FB's... Due to their $ hit design !

You're right Terry, but stockists now are faced with 2 types of cell with counter/phone staff unaware of the fact. Ask for an RDB cell and you don't know what you're going to get. If you don't read the blurb and look at numbers, then you can fall into the same trap. Ask me how I know, but at the time I didn't realise the unit had changed.
