Can anyone recommend a drill bit for removing mortar?

I don't really want to buy/hire an angle grinder if I can avoid it. Plus I think it would be a bit harsh on the brick, which is on an internal wall we're hoping to leave exposed.

My drill obviously has SDS/hammer capability, so wonder if anyone can recommend a bit type/range?

I don't understand why the wall has mortar on it - is it just between the bricks, or elsewhere?

If it was render on the wall, a needle gun should do the trick.
Try your local hire centre,

You need a bit called a 'scabbler' which has a flat blade. You will need to do a search but there should be such items available for sds drills - at least there used to be!
