can I change the colour of the pointing on new garden wall?

We have recently paid a professional to build a low garden wall (3 bricks high) as a raised flower bed around a new lawn. wall has been done a few months and the pointing is a yellow colour. This week the same professional came back to lay the new lawn. Whilst rotovating, he managed to knock part of the wall he built a few months ago down. He rebuilt the broken part of the wall, but has used a different colour pointing (grey). The irony is that the pointing was supposed to be all grey in the first place.

what are our options for changing the colour of the pointing? Can you repoint a brand new wall? Can you paint pointing?

You can certainly repoint a brand new wall it will just be much more difficult because the fresh mortar will be really hard to remove because its not old and failing which is normally the reason to repoint.
