Can I do 2 coats of undercoat?

I'm have new MDF window board (pre-primed).
I have rubbed down and applied a coat of dulux trade oil based undercoat which has covered ok but I think it could do with another rub down when dry and another coat of undercoat.

Is it ok to do 2 coats of undercoat before the top coat?
