Can I extend the height of this door? DIY w/Pics

Hey All.

Wrote this out and PC has frozen twice already so gonna make it quick.

Got door from kitchen (extension) to a utility room (extension again) Door is only 6 foot tall, Im 6'2 with my shoes off and there in lies my problem lol.

Does it look like i could cut door fram out take a layer or two of bricks out and rebuild frame without the rest of the wall falling in? cant see a lintle, and its tight against what was an outside wall (you can see the window in the pic, on the other side of the window is the bathroom) so not any scope to fit a lintle.

I am no building expert , but my post might get a conversation going .
There could be one of these , IG Lintel INT 100 or similar above the door .
