Can I fit a shaver point to existing wiring?

Shaver points are usually fed from the lighting circuit. If the location is suitable for mounting a shaver outlet (i.e. zone 2 or beyond, unless the instructions state otherwise) then there shouldn't be a problem. Of course, if the mirror lights come on from the bathroom light switch then it follows that your new outlet will behave in the same way, which isn't much use if you want to leave things on charge.
No, they don't.
But they do say that you have to submit an application for Building Regulations approval to your local council in advance...
