Can I put a padstone on top of my RSJ and then T on top of the padstone with another RSJ?

Basically I have an ex hosting rsj that’s door height and I don’t want to T straight on top with another rsj or it will be too low if that makes sense so I was hoping to put padstones on top of the existing rsj first and then sit the new one on the padstones. Is this ok to do? I can’t find any examples on Google

In principle, no issue with that, subject to general structural design, but I would think a small section of steel beam would be better than a padstone - it could then be bolted.
