I want outdoor lighting. The nearest electrical item is my bathroom extractor fan.

Can I get power to the outdoor lighting by connecting 1mm cable to the line and neutral terminals in the extractor fan?

I would also like a switch. What would be the ideal way of wiring this?

Would you be happy for the lights to be on only when the fan is on?
I guess that isn’t a practical solution!
You may need to find a different power source.

The idea of a wind generator being driven by the extractor fan does seem novel. But if the fan has a run on then likely there is a supply there, so possible you can take a supply from fan.
