Hello,

Im in the process of redoing my bathroom. 70% of the bathroom has been tiled. I've chipped some of them off and am wondering if the surface im left with is ok to tile straight onto.

Its a mixture of plaster, plaster board and old tile adhiesive.

cant really see the pics mate..but..

any wet area strip and redo with new boards..aquapanel/hardie..etc.

the rest of the bathroom(dry areas)..if you can skimm with finish plaster but the weight per m2 for tiling will be about 16kg per m2 and 4kg per m2 for addy and grout...20kg per m2 all in.

Depending on the wall construction, stripping out & re-boarding may be the best solution but if thems solid walls, you will at least have to get all that old tile adhesive off as it could affect tile adhesion & the tile levels will be all over the place.
