Hi all,

I spent 4 hours yesterday removing a 15m long concrete path in my garden, needless to say I have a lot of rubble. I also have a big pile of bricks as well.

Can I use this as a sub layer for a new patio if I laid it neatly? I thought this would save on hiring a skip. Or is it a false economy? As presumably I would still need a layer of MOT rubble on top, therefore I would need to dispose of the extra soil?

Your thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Sam

Hmmm, so the website says probably not. But you guys would. Would you use the concrete or not bother? Thanks :)

Since it's a patio (rather than a drive) yes I would use it if I could smash it small enough and compact it. I'd then probably cover it as the PE site suggests.
