Is it possible to beat an active PIR sensor which is mounted to a top corner of a room by sliding across the floor on your stomach? I saw this done on "The Gadget Show" today but wasn't sure if pet friendly sensors were used.

How do you get a 48 inch plasma out crawling on your stomach ?
If it can be done on TV yes they have beaten it but in a real break in scenario i cant see it happening.

Heat the room to body temperature and you can walk about quite freely without the sensor detecting you.
They can be defeated but not by pretending to be a pet unless your thermal image is smaller than size of pet the sensor ignores.

Now you come tomention it they were only after a small bag of coins which could easily fit in a pocket soI think the Plasma TV is safe!
